happy international women’s day
I’m a hopeless romantic with a dirty mind who has high standards.
i’ve seen a few other of the movies that were nominated in the same categories as nebraska, and i get why the ones who won did but…
bruce dern played the role so perfectly. he reminded me a lot of my grandfather, in all the good ways.
and the story was simple but played so hard on the emotions. and it reminded me so much of how things are in the town where my parents grew up.
the cinematography was beautiful.
it just seemed to have so much more going on than some of the movies that were nominated.
also i kind of hated her? like it wasn’t anything special, and the ending was so anticlimactic? it was just visually interesting.
and that’s all for my movie opinions for tonight.
i think nebraska just broke my heart.
and tried to put it back together again.
i just about died when the lady told him he hadn’t won.
and then died again when his son bought him the truck and the compressor. like fuck. just so cute/sad.
i can’t put into words how this movie made me feel.
Nothing better to Instagram, so here’s my face.
i’m not who i used to be.
and it upsets me.
